If I have made it very clear. But I LOVE my life. I love my boyfriend, my house, my furniture, my fur.kids, everything in my life right now is perfect. I could not ask for anything else.

Apples and Cider and Friends Oh My !!

Despite being sick I bundled myself up and headed to the community garden at The Mitten (a co-op house in West Philly) to help make cider. The apples had been harvested the day before at Linvnilla Orchards and there were tons and tons of them. All different varieties of apples, honeycrisps, gala, winesap, red delicious and golden delicious, and granny smiths. They were beautiful, so many colors and shapes and tastes. The process of washing, cutting, mashing and pressing was awesome, it was hard work but lots of fun. The actual mill and press was very interesting, it was so old but still in such good working condition, it was a really rewarding to be participating in such and old tradition in such an urban setting. The all hard work was worth it, the cider was delish.
After all the hard work we had our apple cowhort RS over for spaghetti non-meat meatballs and some wine. It was the perfect ending to a great day. A day that has me so excited to be in a city with such a great urban food movement.

I love this stinking kitten, even when she digs up my fig trees, and leaves little dirt pawprints all over my house. I just can not help it. She is just so stinking cute ! Yes Turd you are cute, and you know it.

Cozy little fur filled house...

To say that I love our house would be an understatement. Since we pretty much started from scratch ever single item in the house is something that SJ and myself love and could not live without. It's created an environment of sheer bliss and comfort. We have lived here since March and everything is finally coming together, in a few weeks we go to pick up our dining room table
(which is a super rustic old picnic table with high back benches) and after that we will be throwing a super fab soiree. As you may or may not know I L-O-V-E a good party. This party will contain killer food and drinks and good friends. I can't wait to have my house filled with love and the sounds of friends. I am open to any good ideas......

Its appropriate to host a dinner soiree in dino printed footie pj's right ??

My triumphant return !

To say that things have changed in my life would be an understatement. I've been undergoing a major personal overhaul in the past few months, I feel like I'm loving myself and my life enough right now to share the goings on with the web.
This was a post to make whoever reads this silly thing to keep their eyes open, there will be postings to come, most likely they will be about these three....

I have never owned a cat before, and I have been amazed by them. Farmer is a ungrateful snit, but I love her. Its really about the kittens, I have had the two of them since the second they were born. I have a pretty amazing bond with the two of them, especially Turd. Watching the two of them grow and learn and explore has been a great experience.
The two of them are currently chasing dust.puggies (my homes version of dust.bunnies) around the dining room while the pugs sleep in the dining room, its a chilly day in the city, so we will be staying warm inside !

Ooh child things are gonna get easier, Ooh child things will get brighter

I have taken a selfish break from blogging. I have been undergoing a lot of changes in my life and until they are all sorted out I'm not ready to divulge all of my life on the www.

However I'm returning to the blogging world today, not bc I have anything to share but more bc I have words and vibes to send out to a loved one !



Many of my readers are familliar with this lovely lady, it's Mrs.LJKC from Superhero. LJKC is one of my oldest and dearest friends. When I was younger I always looked up to her energy and spirit,and still do to this day. She is one of the most determinded people I have ever met. She is the type of girl who if presented with a challange will face it head on and succede (saab moose). I'm just here to let her know that I believe in her. She will always come out on top, she has all the tools nessacary to do so. So to LJKC,
While sometimes it can seem like things are against you.....

Put on that grin and start right in to whistle loud and long

It's good

I have been a terrible blogger as of late. It's not because I don't have anything interesting to share, it's the opposite. I have so much going on that I don't have the patience to come up with an organized blog post. Plus the last few days has given me BEAUTIFUL weather ! Which means adventure dates to junk stores, sunburns, and $10 pitchers of margaritas. I promise to come up with a good and worthy blog soon !

Home is where the tummy and the heart is

here is our home, and the delish Gnocchi, caramelized onions and broccoli rabe dinner that Lauren made us. The joys of living with a chef.... also adorning our doors and windows are the delightful flowers I have wanted for weeks, SJ surprised me with them today.Life is super good !

SJ is a menace

Lauren moved in to the GGDH, and SJ and myself could not be happier to have our buddy living with us.
While moving all of her worldly possessions into the house, SJ and Lauren realized that her Queen sized bed frame did not fit up the tiny stairwell and its darling archway ( which now has a large hole that SJ will be fixing ASAP !). So SJ thought that a hammer would be the best way to smash in the side of the frame to fit it up the stairs. Lauren was ok with this plan, so SJ smashed away, with no success. Next step is to take a saw to the corner. This also didn't work. So they carried the frame into the dead cat graveyard. The cats now live in it.

Turning over a new leaf

Hello friends,
I know is been a silly long time, however there have been some pretty serious ch.ch.ch changes going on in the life of me. I am not one to air my private business on here however the biggest change in my life is the split of myself and Jgra, there are no details that need divulging, its just what it is. This spit has caused some other large changes, for the first time in a long time I am the only one responsible for me. Its a wonderful and terrifying feeling at the same time.
I moved out of the house with Jgra and into a new wonderful cozy abode with SJ (the executive chef of milah),he is a wonderful roommate and friend. I'm very comfortable and happy with the choices and decisions I have made, as selfish as they may seem, I'm taking this time for me. It's something I have really never done, and, well it's about time.

Ooh, that's why I'm easy

I'm easy like Sunday morning....

First off I, KMK am no longer jobless !!!! As of yesterday yours truly will be taking on the role of Front of House Manager at Mi Lah Vegetarian. I will talk more about this at a later date, however I will say now that I am super excited to be there and be apart of their team.

Below is a photo of my day, and it could NOT have been better. In between eating brunch at Mi Lah (YUMMY !) and my staff meeting I went to Barnes and Nobel, drank green tea and read all of the cook books I could get my hands on. Debate for the day, is it wrong to take photos of recipes without buying the book ? I hope not....

Its a sunshine day !

It was so beautiful today ! I was very excited to take the pugs out on a nice long walk to the parkl for some fetch and maybe to meet some new dog friends. Lately we have all been cooped up and taking such short walks trying not to freeze to death. So needless to say today was a warm welcome !

I have heard stories about this monkey and seen this photo cropped leaving just my adorable little mom making a serious stink face, however looking at it cropped one is not aware that face is obviously at the monkey, however in all its glory its a true jem.
