She's my best friend......

MTP and myself in our golden years.... I am the snazzy lady on the right.....

I know that I have written about MTP from over at Motorious in the past however I after a recent text conversation I was moved to again discuss how much I love that witty little girl....

Its a thing of beauty to have a best friend who will send you text to try and cheer you up... with texts that read "wow, friend the lady on intervention drinks WAY more wine than you do"........ now while one may take offense to something like that it makes me smile. Now the fact that I then tune to a&e to watch intervention, and then call said bff in a fit of crying giggles over the women on intervention (ed.note: while it is not funny to laugh at someones serious life struggles, this episode was a serious exception) and don't even need to speak bc she answers her phone in the same fit of giggles. Now THAT dear readers is a true friendship....

Since living in FL I've missed my little buddy, she was like a permanent fixture in my life in Charleston. Even JGra misses her. I really missed her while packing my house up last night bc the last time I was packing MTP and I had a wine/pizza/ Seth's My Girls Mix party to make the move less painful. If everything works out as planned and she comes to join us in Philly I will be over the moon to get my bff back.

I now will share the other main inspo for this post, its a text convo between MTP and myself...

MTP: They are doing construction next door and just blew up our toilet. KMK: Um what? MTP: Water came shooting out of the toilet and it gurgled and our entire bottom floor smells likedoodie. KMK: Ew gross MTP: And scary. And we went to tell them and they said "yeah, that was from us. You shoulda been sitting on it when that happened!". No.False

I love you MTP !

At what age does.......

Does throwing a fit become inappropriate. We are talking FULL fit here folks. Like on the floor kicking my legs yelling snot filled fit. Honestly at what age is one supposed to cease fit throwing ? I feel like a good fit might make me feel soooo much better. I also want to know who decided to make moving the most stressful thing in the universe. Seriously, screw you, whoever you are.... not cool. I am trying to fit my life into boxes, I have a LOT of life.....and clothes. OK, so its really just the clothes.... The below photo is a rawther accurate rendition of my bedroom, only with less clothes, and less pug toys.

But honestly anyone reading this who would like to come and take care of this for me. That would be great. And I would give you a hug....

So I will be packing for the next 5 days (minus Thursday and Friday, because duh, I'm going to play in Disney) so anyone who wants to come join, please feel free ! PLEASE !!!

A Very Merry Family Friday

Sorry I have been so negligent lately, between the move, Christmas, work and pugs there has not been much time to blog. JGra and i both had the day off today, and we made a full family day out of it. We tried to watch my #2 favorite Christmas movie Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, but Mimi the smush-faced pug, had another agenda. Which was to make sure Rudolph and his highly suspicious friends did not escape from their tv holding cell and wreak havoc on our house. So after that highly unsuccessful attempt at a Christmas movie we packed up the kids and headed to the beach to take our Christmas card photo(which came out GREAT !). The beach is the pugs favorite place in the world. They got a good game of fetch in with dad while mom froze her fanny off..... YIKES the first few weeks in Philly will be brutal !!!

Then Mimi and Daddy drove us all home !

hope all of you have a great weekend !

happy birthday to you ?

Dear JGra,
Don't worry that's not your cake..... after slaving away over you sugar free carrot cake I could not bear to photograph it....it now sits in the bottom of the trash. You know I pride myself in my kitchen talents, so you are also aware of how sad this makes me. Also your sad child face is not helping, as I have already cried about ruining your birthday cake ! Apparently my knife test was lying when it said the heart shaped cake was finished. For when I arrived home from work and uncovered it I found that the heat of the cake and the moisture had made a green carrot cake. We will not be eating that..... I'm sorry I ruined your birthday... and that you caught me blogging crying and drinking red wine about ruining your birthday cake..... I love you.
Happy Birthday

All I want for christmas...

Is someone to pack up my condo and move me back to PA !
Dear Santa,
I would just like to thank you for your speedy delivery of my gift. I understand that due to my circumstances you delivered my gift early, however don't worry, I'm not expecting anything else. After yesterday I was confidant that you would deliver. So today when JGra called to tell me that not only are we not PAYING for the moving crew, but they will also pack EVERYTHING for us, I knew that I had really spoken to you in Disney ! Thanks again ! You are the best, I'll bake extra special cookies for you. Don't forget to come get them in Philly !

There's no place like home....

That Dorothy Gale wasn't kidding "there's no place like home" So Jgra the pugs and myself are headed "some place where there isn't any trouble." "Do you suppose there is such a place, dear friends" "There must be. It's not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It's far, far away. Behind the moon, beyond the rain." No... its not somewhere over the rainbow its.......... PHILADELPHIA !! That's right dear readers, we are headed back home !!!! After a 3 year adventure its due time ! I have loved all the places I have lived since leaving philly, I would not trade the experiences and friends along the way for ANYTHING. But it's time. I'll be home by Christmas and I could not be more excited !
"And I'm not gonna leave there ever, ever again, because I love you all, and - oh, Auntie Em - there's no place like home!"

Exciting news aside, things have been hectic so I PROMISE to post photos from my trip home and my new hair (iloveit!) very soon.Tomorrow the girls and I are headed to Disney to see all the Christmas lights !

The greatest thing in the world is.....

Snuggles from a Pug.
Seriously anyone who lives a pugless life, I really feel sorry for you. I have always been a dog lover, and snuggling a puppy ranks almost at the top of my list, right behind a great glass of pinot noir and dinner in CM (almost any establishment) with JGra. But since I got Mimi, a good pug snuggle is quickly edging out the glass of wine and yummy food (that's nothing against JGra, as I know for a fact he feels the same way).
I think the biggest proof of its wonder is my mom, she has always HATED dogs, I do not use the term lightly, ask her. I was tormented as a child by the fact that I could never have a puppy of my own (I can't really in writing convey my love for dogs without making a fool of myself), so obviously the second I was able to bring one into my life I was on the hunt for my perfect dog. After much research I decided on a pug (Eloise played a HUGE part in this choice) and went out in search of my perfect pug. Mimi was it and I watched her quickly win over my mother, NOT an easy task, but the little bugger was convincing. She was the sweetest and funniest little dog, I had never seen anything with such personality, or a dog that had such a hard time grasping the fact that they were in fact a dog (she still is in serious denial). I watched my mom fall in love with this little pug, I along with everyone else who knows my mom could not get over it. I was also terribly upset that all my life I could have had a puppy if it had been the right pug ! See all it takes is a good pug cuddle session to turn even the biggest dog haters...
For anyone who has no idea what its like to enjoy a good pug snuggle, get in touch with me. You can come to my house and sit on my couch, that's all that is needed for my little ones. They will snug right into your lap, and you will quickly realize exactly what I am talking about. For me the bed is an extra bonus, they are like living stuffed animals who cuddle back, it truly is a wonderful thing, that on a morning that getting out of bed was already low on your list, well now its impossible. The pugs love to sleep and snuggle, so until you get out of bed they stay put in all their cuddle glory.

**this photo is a very good representation of myself and Mimi**
Tomorrow I am off to the homeland (the very very cold homeland) for some turkey and catchup with old friends. Its also my 5 year hs reunion, we shall see how that goes. I'm hoping getting schnockered and telling people how much I disliked them 5 years ago is not on the agenda. I'm thinking LEB and I should go Romy and Michelle style, claiming we invented something outrageous. Outrageous but practical, like those cereal spoons that allow you to drink the milk, bc they are also straws...

Well I will probably be mia for a few days....

Happy Thanksgiving !

Confessions of a 24 year old Vanpire

(hawt photoshop skills by KW)
Yes, its true..... I am seriously obsessed, and have been since I devoured the first book in less than 24 hours leaving me thirsty (haha) for the next instalments. I have the same unhealthy obsession with a fictional vampire book (and now movie) character as THAGILLIONS of tween girls do. Sorry, but honestly its hard not to. Edward is the PERFECT man (sorry team Jacob). He yearns for Bella and aches to protect her, who doesn't want that ! Its a true love story showing how at times loving someone so much can be the most painful thing ever. I absolutely loved the books and read all of them over and over until passing them off to my mother. Obviously I was excited to see the film version of the books I so loved. But it was not without worry. There were many things to take into consideration, the biggest one for me being what if they had fangs !!!! (ed note: the twilight vampires do not have fangs, they have teeth coated with venom) I also worried how they would make Edward sparkle, and just in general how close they would stick to the book.

So KW and I donned our Team Edward shirts and were off to the movies !

please note how freakishly tall KW is......

End decision. Good flick, once I got passed the fact that they can not squish a 544 page book into a 2 hr movie I began to enjoy more. I think all the actor choices were perfect ! I just wish they let us delve into the conversations between Bella and Edward, and also get to know the Cullens a bit more. Other than that no major complaints. 3rd times a charm as we will be going to see it again on the big screen. Then possibly packing our bags and moving to Forks in search of our perfect vegetarian vampires who will love and save us.....

tomorrow night...... hibachi dinner

I will be becoming a Hong Kong Willie

Since I have moved to Tampa I drive past this (that's the link to the blog) every day.....

Everyday I drive past and ask JGra if we can go one day, he always say yes. However we have yet to actually get there. This really only fuels my interest......well in Starbucks the other day I was reading on the bulletin board and saw a postcard with the bait shop on it and a bunch of writing. I asked my barista if i could have the card, and they said no, boo. So i instead settled for lots of camera phone photos to show my boss. I learned that this was in fact not a crazy bait shop (I only thought that bc there is a HUGE light up bait sign) but instead a center for reclaimed art ! Honestly this makes me even more excited than when I thought it was just a bait shop, so now I am drooling to go visit this place and meet the folks who run it ! Anyone who knows me even the teens-iest bit knows I'm a hippie at heart, and the whole concept of junk are is always something i have enjoyed. Here is the shortest and best description about them I could find.....

Hong Kong Willie. Hippie artist of the 60’s in the now. Hippie artist and Florida folk artist, living the life of using objects for many uses. Look at the travels of life. Hong Kong Willie. The name of the artist. In 1958 his mother took Hong Kong Willie to an art class. The name started then. An art teacher when doing crafts out of Gerber baby bottles, made a statement, in Hong Kong reuse was common. At that time he thought this was very interesting. His father had low-land, at that time landfills were common also. The county had told Hong Kong Willie’s father, it was safe, but as we now know this was not so. Something can come from bad to be good. Hong Kong Willie the name came from that art teacher impressing on that young mind that objects made for one use could be for many other uses. Hong Kong for the neat concept. Willie for an American name. So for many years Hong Kong Willie had a life of reuse. Hong Kong Willie saw forms in a different light, His life now was meaningful, knowing this was and would be his life. Art made from found objects, making less of a footprint on this world. Art and art teachers, HOW IMPORTANT. For the ones that have, and the ones who have not. Media can be found. Now 50 years later, we know now being green is important. We need to look at this very carefully. Our children and our world need a different understanding. Objects can be used in many different ways. Hong Kong Willie the tons of objects in his life that have been used, without much change, So for that art teacher what she did for my life. Thank You. I still have the Gerber baby bottle till this day. Hong Kong Willie.Hong Kong Willie Key West Artist and Tampa Tourist Attraction. Hong Kong Willie: Group of artists telling how to use objects for many different purposes. Looking outside of the box, learning to find solutions in a positive way. Complaining without a solution is like trying to wake a dead man. Nothing is going to happen. The solution to leaving less of a foot print on this earth is left to each one of us. Finding the positive side and focusing positive energy is change for the good. Hong Kong Willie has for many years looked outside of the box. Take a look at the other story told by University of South Florida on ways to change and the social impact we all can make. To live and help and not complain and spend that energy to leave less of a foot print is a good thing.

All contributed content © Hong Kong Willie

Later in my massive Hong Kong Willie google session I also found that they have an ETSY site !!! Family and friends be expecting a hong kong willie for festivus !

be expecting lots of fun friend photos from this weekend as it's a Disney Girls fest !

Thoughts over a glass of wine or a slight rant on things that really bother me !

**advance notice if you don't feel like reading my political rants please excuse this and scroll down to the photos of the girl with a tape nose.....**

So for some on November 4th the wonderful election of Barack was a tad overshadowed, they also on that day learned that they had not been given the same right to marriage as a heterosexual couple. Anyone reading this blog who knows me, is fully aware of the fact that I am all for giving same sex couples every single right that their hetero couple friends have. That is not what this blog is about, this blog is about the fact that I keep getting invited to Support Prop 8 groups, and keep getting sign the petition for prop 8..... i live in Florida, in Florida on November 4th I voted on amendment #2. Every person who has sent me all of these prop 8 things resides in PA. I don't get why they are not out there getting involved in the politics of PA, no matter how many groups they join they CAN NOT VOTE IN CA ! I'm all for political activism, I think its great that the youth is getting involved in issues they are passionate about. However I just wish they would direct it to the right people, write the pa government, do something about giving our friends in PA the right they deserve, THAT is where your vote counts ! I did my part to pass it in FLA !

ok..... vent over (sorry if you read this and fall into the category of someone who sent me one of these emails/fb invites)

This is KW, she is my friend, we both love vampires and get bored at work...... she is mostly my friend b/c she lets me tape her nose like this.
loves you KW

also MTP wrote an awesome blog today, everyone should read it.....

Why Ernie why.....

(look how proud and majestic he is)

Dear Littlest Pug-o-mine,

While I am very grateful for your constant watch over our humble abode, I really wish you would take the nights off. A full good nights sleep has become a tad hard to come by when every 2 hrs you decide to scare off the obvious intruders. You also make Mimi very angered when you do this. You KNOW how important her beauty sleep is to her. Also your father and I are exhausted. I am not asking you to stop barking at the dogs outside, and during the day..... by all means Ernie PLEASE keep the intruders at bay. But at night, please, just stop barking.... I am tired !

Why contact gods why ??

Dear Gods of the Contacts,

Seriously, could you not have assessed my work schedule for the upcoming week before you decided to let me close my LAST left contact in the case last night, allowing me to rip half of it off. ANY other week this would be fine as I am usually off tomorrow, however THIS week I am in overtime hell. Starting tomorrow I will be at work from 6:50 am till 10pm, this will last till next Sunday. Yes I own glasses so this is not a HUGE disaster. But I hate my glasses, and Mimi ate them when she was a baby (yes I know, i should buy new glasses....read on to see why I most likely have yet to do so..) so they give me a headache.... other than the headache bit, I loathe wearing my glasses I ONLY wear them at night when I have taken my contacts out. I had to start wearing glasses at birth, I am over them. Pretty much being stuck wearing my glasses for a week is the equivalent of wearing really ugly clothes for me. Not people reading this who regularly wear glasses, put down your weapons. I don't hate glasses for all, just for me.

So please Contact Gods, check my Kate Spade day planner next time, honestly...

Why I love my friends.....

In June prior to LJKC's wedding a movie was watched....the movie was called Teeth (if you have yet to see it, rent it, but before you do PLEASE read the synopsis, for I don't want to be responsible.....)

Well after watching the movie wonderful dinner discussions and songs were created on the topic of vagina dentada..... also sparking me to find this Sew-on Vagina Dentata Patch on etsy (see below). And posting it on LH's facebook asking if she would like this as a festivus gift...... thus bringing about the following conversation....

kmk:ummm i was thinking of getting you this for Christmas.....

lh:Huh. Now I'm trying to figure out where it would go. I'm thinking it would make a sweet lapel pin.

kmk:its a GREAT conversation piece....

lh:Good call! I bet it would vastly improve my social life if I were to sit by myself in a bar, order tequila, sit there stroking it, and then sniff my fingers while making purposeful yet indiscriminate eye contact with everyone in the room.

kmk:the above comment is why you are my friend....

lh:Yes, it's a filthy job that you are perfectly suited for.

kmk:i just used this for a blog entry

i love my friends

oh the times they are a changing....

Today I was very driven to cut all of my hair off. Like ALL off. Despite her AWFUL taste in men.... I am currently in LOAF with Katie Holmes hair cut....

I love love love this look. However short hair like this tends to scare me, not because I don't think it will look right on me, I actually look really good with short hair (vanity what ?). What I fear is a bad stylist.... a short trendy cut like that can turn me in to Ellen real quick (or trent reznor, ask LJKC) and force me into a life of bandannas and cute headbands. After a very long debate (slash argument) with JGra and talking to my mom (who did her job in reminding me that I reminded her to remind me when I go to cut my hair off that I like it long) I decided that while yes I enjoy long hair on EVERYONE else, long hair is not best suited for me. So with this decision made I will be waiting till my trip home to Philly in November, where Ms.LEB will accompany me to the chopshop to my fave stylist and oversee said cut. In the meantime I am prepping myself, tomorrow it goes to right below my ears...... hey it's only hair.

"Step by step, heart to heart, left, right, left,we all fall down, like toy soldiers...

Few people are lucky enough to have 1 great girlfriend. I on the other hand am lucky enough to have more than that 1. This weeks featured friend is one of those great girls, LJK(recently added a C (yeah)) has been a friend for many a year. I was fortunate enough to meet LJK while working at a lill' shop called Zebop. Honestly it was the best job ever, we played whatever music we wanted(LJ was the QUEEN of amazing mix tapes, also our boss got tipsy and ordered the lifetime 80's collection so we had LOTS to pick from) dressed up in the redic clothing our owners ordered, made up dance routines and chatted about life, a lot. Pretty much we got paid for chatting and sometimes ringing up hemp necklaces and laughing at people trying on clothing. Other that the best job ever, I gained one of my best friends. LJ is an amazing person, she seriously bleeds good from her soul. I have so many memories with this lady. I am proud to say I was with LJ the first time she tried sushi, we had gone shopping all day and got take out from cape orient..... LJ is, in case you didn't know a HUGE fan of condiments.... so upon seeing the sushi plate popped the ENTIRE ball of wasabi in her mouth...love her.... I also would like to take CLAIM on a few things... this lovely lady used to mock my Lilly dresses and Vera b. bags....just a note...I really could go on for days with stories and memories.....like how when she worked at exit 0 we would sit on the floor and listen to The Juliana Theory and plot my marriage to Keith... I also remember the first time I met her future hubby at a diner in NYC, it was obvious to see that they were perfect together, and so happy (ps they also had the best wedding ever) I'm so proud for LJKC and for what she has achieved, she is a beautiful woman with an wonderful life. Her spirit is stupendous, she has always put her friends in the highest places. She is one of theose people that make you happy just being around them (she made me walk around NYC for a day looking for noodle hut, and while my feel hurt as we walked from one end of the city to the other, it was the best day I have enver spent in NYC) Also for anyone reading this who doesn't know her she has the best laugh in the world, no I am not kidding you..the world. My memories with her are some of my best, and they make me smile and tear up as I write this (cheese ball I know)I wish her the best and love her with all my heart. Cheers to you LJKC !
The Interview.......
1) Who are you ? ljkc - monogrammer extraordinaire!
Faves
a) color - this is tough... I want to say pink but blue has always been there for me... and red defines me... and I love to wear green... and yellow makes me happy...
b)book "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. (note from kmk: once LJKC kidnapped my exbf bc he agreed he loved this book, she took him shopping and bought me a stuffed black cat to replace my live black cat, JEF and I found them at the house after work drink woodchuck cider discussing the book)
c)movie "I am Sam" - if you've never seen it, rent it immediately. Actually, just go and straight-up BUY it - you should own it. All of you.
d)song that describes you - Superhero by Garrison Starr, obvs.
e)food - much like the color question, I am unable to discriminate in this department.
2) How do you know me ? We're ZeBabes fo'LIFE!
3)What do you want to be when you grow up ? a cartoon character... I'm still hopeful...
4)Tell me about your perfect day ? Oooo... perfect Fall weather, outside... doing something creative/relaxing... simple pleasures.
5) Fall, Winter, Summer or Spring and why ? Anything but Winter from Jan-March. It's just messy.
6) If you could buy a plane ticket right now where would you go ? Europe. Doesn't matter where. Seriously, get a map of Europe, throw a dart, buy a ticket wherever it lands and put me on the plane!
7) Most embarrassing thing you have ever admitted to AND don't mind me posting on a blog ? Hmmm... I actually don't get embarrassed very easily so I'm sure YOU can think of something I've forgotten... feel free to post whatever you can think of! :)
8) A real person in your life that you are beyond proud of and why ? I am beyond proud of my girlfriends. I am proud to have such strong women in my life - Mothers, sisters, hard-workers, thinkers and doers.
9) Favorite memory with me ? Shopping in CM - probably the day we found the plush Tata, AKA: the Mermaid toy. :) :)

Happy Hallo-Pug a few days late

After being sad about not having trick-o-treaters I decided to take the pugs into the action....

only to discover that we are to early for trick-o-treaters. That or they just don't exist anymore, along with most of my favorite Halloween movies that I can't find anymore. So we may have not found trick-o-treaters, but we did have a very nice walk.

Boo to You !

How KMK, Mimi and Ernie will be spending our Halloween Evening. Also not to be left out of the above equation a yummy homemade pizza. It also involves a fake pumpkin and 8 fall scented candles and the 3 of us sitting around in our costumes. For the first time in my entire life I did not carve a pumpkin (the past 3 years the pumpkins jgra and I have carved have turned into pumpkin soup very fast), just an fyi to ALL of you, NOT carving pumpkins for halloween is a one way ticket to sadville. So I went to Michaels and got a fake non-rotting pumpkin. It will do, sort of. I also got candy for the children who will not come. What we do tonight is a halloween tradition of sorts since I have been living on my own. Every year I get all excited and dress myself and the puppies up to wait for the trick-o-treaters. Alas they never come, and I am left with candy (jr.mints this year). Oh well maybe next year they will come...

and this will be our pumpkin ----------------->
HAPPY HALLOWEEN !

Ode to a missing shoe ?

Don't ask me HOW I did it, but I today went looking for my Ugg slippers and have found that there is only 1. I am pretty sure at some point when I first moved here I have worn both of them, which mean one is not hiding in the Charleston house. So seriously, where is the other one ? Eaten by a pug ? Or as MTP suggests was it really taken by the ghost of Dobby ? But why would Dobby come all the way from his lovely resting place at Bill and Fleur's to steal my ugg ? However it seems to be the most logical reason. So Dobby if you are reading my blog today, please can I have my missing slipper, please return it. It's cold in my house !

xoxo

KMK

p.s. please ignore my resemblance to Dobby in the photo on the right. Its very cold in my house and I can not face getting in the shower. My apologies.

You have GOT to be kidding me !

Dear Person who posted this secret on Post Secret,

You will never have any idea how much this irritates me (unless of course your read my blog). Question for you, did your mother forget to teach you the whole "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" saying? Your "secret" falls into that same category. Yes, you do have the RIGHT to vote, but if you are not doing it based on you thoughts and knowledge of the issues at hand, please don't. Its bad enough that there are so many out there making their decisions without knowing ALL the facts. This is a very important election for our country and every vote counts, but if people like you are just flipping a coin it makes MY vote count less. And you do not have the RIGHT to do that !

xoxo to everyone

(except the coin flippers !)

It hard to remember how much you appreciate watching the leaves change. Even if its 44 and raining in CM I want to take Tampa's 60 and sunny and bring it up with me. A day like today is my favorite kind in CM. I also wish that I was eating a breakfast quesadilla right now....

oh and on a MUCH happier for me note, the c.roach finally kicked it !

Mimi, like her mother, loathes the cold, she hates being outside in it unless properly attired. Honestly she wont move, she just pulls and pulls to get back inside. Today I thought she was missing but she was sleeping in the sun rays in my bathroom, she used to do this all the time when she was a puppy. Silly little pug.
Have a good day ! I'm going to sit on my porch look at the swamp and eat homemade chili, wishing i was on my porch in CM looking at the ocean eating homemade chili.

“Your daily life is your temple and your religion. When you enter into it take with you your all.” ... Gibran

I've had a very productive day ! These kind of days are also my favorites ! I love a good feeling of accomplishment !
After wrestling the puggies out of bed and a quick am walk I headed off to the market.
One of the things that I miss the most about living Cape May is going to the market on my pink triple basketed beach cruiser (RIP bike, and THANKS again to the jerk in Charleston who CUT DOWN A TREE to steal my bike, honestly I hope it was worth all the work). Even in the cold I loved riding my bike to the store, its one of those simple pleasures for me. I don't know how to explain it but it just is. I also made a trip to Michael's, that place is super dangerous for me. They also have great sales all the time, needless to say I will be starting work on my Christmas cards tomorrow....

I don't have a green thumb. In fact its black, I kill all plants. Jgra jokes to the pugs that they should be happy they are not a plant. Today I decided to "dead-head" as my Granny calls it, our large hanging plant.....now all that's left are these 4 green sprigs. Oh little plant, I hope you make a comeback. However I HAVE managed to keep this big fern like plant thriving. Only question I have is..... what are these things ? Why are their alien like pods growing in my plant ?

I LOVE getting things in the mail (hint hint)! Yesterday I received a wonderful care package from my mommy ! Inside was...... MY 2008 LIMA BEAN FESTIVAL SHIRT !!! "BEANjamin Franklin" Get it, bean, lima bean ? Just a little shout out to my FAVORITE clothing store in the world Flying Fish in West CM, NJ (http://www.theflyingfishstudio.com/) for yet again making a GREAT shirt ! Also inside the package were my new earmuffs ! Made especially for me by my wonderfully talented mother ! She will be making me more as i have requested a collection..... now I just wait for the cold (come on fl give me SOMETHING) ! She also sent Halloween collars for the pugs with glow and the dark ghosts ! Thanks mommy !

For dinner tonight I will be making my Domestic Goddess Cousin SKB's delish spinach tofu lasagna. This was always my favorite dish she used to make during the summer. Its pretty simple to make. Get in touch with me if you want the recipe. I have yet to tell JGra that he will be eating tofu for dinner, he has a slight aversion to the stuff. When dinner is all said and done and he says how yummy it was i will show him the tofu box. To make up for the tofu betrayal I have made him a sugar-free (for the most part) pumpkin mousse pie ! JGra and I share the same love for Pumpkin Pie ! But him having the 'betes means that a sugar filled pumpkin pie is not really the best idea...... so i have pretty much perfected ever sugar free/ sugar light pumpkin dessert that exists.... THIS one is my own creation ! So I've prepped what I consider to be a pretty decent dinner, topped off with a nice bottle of pinot and life is good !
